Once a long, long time ago I was a technical recruiter making around $60 per hour. It wasn't a job I wanted or strived for and it kinda fell in my lap. The tech boom in silicon valley died and my contract gig died with it. Now, more than 20 years later I can see that all that money didn't make me happier, funnier, more interesting or a better person/parent. Thank you for this gentle reminder to appreciate what you already have. If you can do that like I did you will be rich beyond your wildest dreams. You will wake up each day grateful. You will take stock in all the things in your life that no longer spark joy and remove them.
